Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a Critical Facilities Maintenance Shift Engineer for our Hemel Hempstead (HH4) site. You will plan, manage and deliver facilities maintenance to ensure peak data centre performance, including HV/LV safety, fire procedures, and compliance on a 24/7 rota.

The role requires experience in data centres, strong engineering background in critical environments, and the ability to supervise internal and external teams while maintaining strict SLA targets.

Qualifications

• Shift work experience in data centre environments.
• Experience in facilities, operations or engineering in a Data Centre.
• 17th Edition or equivalent electrical qualification.
• HND or similar in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services.
• IOSH - Working Safely preferred.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Evaluate plant and equipment and suggest improvements where appropriate.
• Record maintenance activity and update the Key Source System accurately.
• Carry out maintenance to SLA targets and safety requirements.
• Monitor and manage HV/LV switching and associated activities.
• Oversee site permit process, fire procedures and statutory compliance.
• Lead, supervise and coordinate on-site staff and external suppliers.
• Assist incident investigations to establish root causes and corrective actions.
