Job summary

Roc Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Cabling Installation Engineer to deliver structured cabling and network infrastructure projects for diverse clients nationwide. You will install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fibre cabling, work with containment systems, and ensure safety and quality while complying with project specifications.

Eligible for SC/DV clearance and holding a driving licence, you will contribute to secure, enterprise or mission-critical environments

Qualifications

• Experience installing/terminating copper cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A).
• Ability to test/certify cabling with Fluke equipment.
• Knowledge of containment systems (steel/PVC).
• Ability to read technical drawings/installation plans.
• Eligible for Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV).
• Fibre optic installation, termination and testing.
• OTDR testing knowledge.
• Experience in secure/enterprise or mission-critical environments.
• Hold ECS/CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure network cabinets and racks.
• Build and install containment systems.
• Install, terminate, test, certify, and label cabling.
• Carry out fibre and copper cabling installations.
• Install and patch network switches and related infrastructure.
• Perform testing and fault-finding with industry-standard equipment.
• Maintain installation documentation and test results.
• Ensure work meets industry standards, project specifications and customer expectations.
• Adhere to health, safety, and quality procedures.
