Job summary

Royal London Asset Management (RLAM), part of the Royal London Group, is recruiting a Data Business Analyst for the London-based Client Group Data squad on a permanent, hybrid basis. You will drive business and data analysis, translate requirements into user stories, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across data management and technology to deliver change.

Qualifications

• Experienced Business Analyst with a strong grasp of the Asset Management industry.
• Proven track record in business and data modelling, process design and solution concepts.
• Experience with change management processes and operating models within an agile framework.

Responsibilities

• Drive business and data analysis for Client Group initiatives and complex change, working with Product Owners and senior stakeholders.
• Gather, understand and document requirements, translating into user stories, acceptance criteria and process docs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate data requirements and ensure accurate reporting.
• Identify barriers to transformation and support backlog prioritisation and scoping.
• Contribute to solution design for data projects with focus on people, process, technology, risks, and controls.
• Engage with developers, testers, architects and business users for reviews and testing.
• Proactively resolve issues and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Understand data models across systems and platforms.
• Work in a scrum team using agile methodologies.

We are currently looking for a Data Business Analyst to join the Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) team on a permanent basis in London.

The role will form part of the Client Group Data squad, delivering on strategic initiatives in partnership with Client Group, Data Management and Technology teams.

This is an exciting time to join RLAM as we continue to grow our client base and further broaden our asset classes to ensure we are delivering the best outcomes for our customers.

You will have high exposure and interaction with our senior stakeholders to deliver change and maintain efficiencies.

About the role

• Drive business and data analysis for Client Group initiatives and complex change, working closely with Product Owners and senior stakeholders within the scrum teams.
• Gather, understand and document detailed requirements using appropriate tools and techniques, translating business requirements into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria and process documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand and validate data requirements, ensuring accurate reporting
• Identify barriers to transformation, supporting the prioritisation and scoping of complex backlog items.
• Contribute to solution design for data projects or programmes of change, paying particular focus to people, process, technology, risks, and controls.
• Engagement, reviews and testing with developers, testers, architects and business users
• Pro-active resolution of issues, designing solutions and presenting recommendations to senior business stakeholders.
• Understanding data models, both normalised and denormalised to work across multiple systems and platforms.
• Part of a scrum team, working to agile methodologies and closely with stakeholders within client group, central data teams and technology.

About you

• Experienced Business Analyst with a strong grasp of the Asset Management industry.
• Proven track record in business and data modelling, process design and solution concepts.
• Experience working with change management processes and operating models within an agile framework with a proven record of successful delivery within a scrum team.
• Knowledge of cloud data Platforms and relational and non-relational databases with SQL proficiencies to query and analyse them.
• Ability to translate and adapt business requirements from various different levels of internal stakeholders into value add deliverables in the form of user stories.
• Able to collaborate with architects, data management and data governance to deliver positive outcomes.
• Experience with testing various elements in product/solution design and operating model implementations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data solutions into simplified explanations for non-technical business stakeholders.
