Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect to design enterprise-scale, cloud-native data platforms for a leading BFSI client in London. The role focuses on Lakehouse architectures, Apache Iceberg, Data Mesh, and governance.

You will work with AWS data services (S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift), Spark, and IaC tools to deliver secure, scalable data platforms and reusable data assets. Hybrid work with office days in London.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Cloud Data Platform design.
• Hands-on experience with Iceberg, S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, and Redshift.
• Experience implementing Data Mesh and Lakehouse architectures with governance, security and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade data lake and Lakehouse architectures using AWS-native services.
• Develop and implement Data Products aligned with Data Mesh and domain-driven architecture principles.
• Leverage Iceberg, S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, and Spark to build scalable data platforms.
• Architect and optimise batch, streaming, and real-time data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Implement data governance, metadata management, data cataloguing, and data-sharing frameworks using AWS DataZone and Lake Formation.
