Job summary

Autolus Therapeutics, based in the United Kingdom, seeks an experienced Enterprise Data Integration Architect to lead end-to-end MuleSoft integration initiatives across cloud and on‑prem environments in Stevenage. Qualifications

• Experience integrating with cloud-based and SaaS applications (e.g., D365, Salesforce, Veeva, Workday, NetSuite, AWS/Azure services).
• Experience designing high-performance, scalable, and secure APIs and integration solutions.
• Leadership experience guiding technical teams or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement end-to-end integration solutions using MuleSoft Platform and other relevant tools.
• Define and govern integration patterns, standards, and reusable frameworks (APIs, microservices, messaging).
• Collaborate with data owners, business analysts, and data teams to translate requirements into interfaces and APIs.
• Lead development, deployment, and monitoring of robust, secure APIs and data pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership to internal developers and manage delivery from external vendors and integration partners.
• Own MuleSoft platform configurations, environments, API Manager, Runtime Manager, CI/CD integrations, and platform health monitoring.
• Collaborate with InfoSec and Compliance to ensure HIPAA, GDPR, GxP compliance.
• Contribute to overall data architecture strategy including MDM, metadata management, and Data Lakehouse initiatives.
• Maintain high-quality documentation for interfaces and technical decisions.

Job Description:

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise data integration, system architecture, or related technical domains.

• Proven experience integrating with cloud‑based and SaaS applications (e.g., D365, Salesforce, Veeva, Workday, NetSuite, AWS/Azure services).
• Experience designing high-performance, scalable, and secure APIs and integration solutions.
• Leadership experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders and guiding technical teams or vendors.
• Experience in biotech, pharma, or other regulated industries (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep understanding ofintegration design patterns, data movement strategies, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Proficiency with API development, REST/SOAP standards, OAuth2, JWT, and web service security protocols.
• Strong hands‑on knowledgeofMuleSoft API Gateway, connectors, and orchestration flows.
• Familiarity with data formats (JSON, XML, CSV, HL7, FHIR) and transport protocols (HTTPS, JMS, JDBC, SFTP).
• Experience withversion control, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Git, Jenkins, etc.
• Excellentproblem-solving, communication, and stakeholder managementskills.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, high-stakes biotech environment.

Skills/Specialist knowledge

• Deep hands‑on experience with MuleSoft architecture, platform administration, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging and hybrid integrations.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and Data Management strategies.
• Awareness of regulatory and privacy frameworks applicable to biotech data environments (HIPAA, GxP, GDPR).
• MuleSoft Certified Developer and/or Architect certifications strongly preferred.
