An exciting new role focussed on delivering an ambitious data transformation strategy to move from legacy systems to modern data platforms, including Databricks and Snowflake. You will have a key role in the data office and will be supporting the data engineering function to deliver a leading data capability and help achieve digital and data goals.
Working with senior colleagues you will: define the organisation's data strategy and build the target infrastructure to deliver the strategy; deliver high level architectures and proof of concepts; support internal teams by sharing your technical expertise; promote agile ways of working and support the teams to continuously improve; represent data in the broader architecture community.
Key Accountabilities: data architectures and principles; technology selection and use case fit; high level architecture for major initiatives and leadership of proof of concepts; input into risk management and process quality. You will need to be 'hands on' when required - ideally we are looking for 3+ years' experience with a MPP database system - snowflake is preferable. An agile mindset and strong leadership and influencing skills are also required.
Remote working is available - some presence in the offices in Central London or East Sussex / Kent will be required but this can be discussed. Salary is negotiable; benefits are excellent and include 5 to 6 weeks holiday plus bank holidays; generous pension scheme and further flexible benefits to suit you.
