Job summary

Mourant invites applications for a Data and Reporting Manager to join our Business Solutions - Data & Reporting team in Jersey or Guernsey. The role focuses on BI, analytics, reporting and data governance to support strategic decisions across the organisation.

You will work with senior stakeholders, IT and central Data & Analytics to enhance reporting, improve data quality and drive automation using AI and advanced analytics where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering BI, analytics and reporting solutions.
• Advanced Power BI capability essential.
• Strong data governance and quality understanding.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports and portals.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with IT/Data teams to ensure accurate, secure, scalable reporting.
• Analyse datasets to identify trends, risks and performance insights.
• Design and optimise SQL queries to extract data from multiple sources.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Produce high quality management information for senior leadership.
• Support projects by embedding reporting and data requirements from inception to delivery.
• Create clear data visualisations for technical and non-technical audiences.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data and Reporting Manager to join our Business Solutions - Data & Reporting team based in Jersey or Guernsey, Channel Islands. This is a key role focused on delivering business intelligence, analytics, reporting and data governance solutions that support strategic decision making across the organisation.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, Business Services teams, Operations, IT and the central Data & Analytics function, you'll help shape and enhance our reporting capabilities, drive data quality improvements, identify opportunities for automation and innovation, and develop meaningful insights that support business performance. This role offers the opportunity to influence how data is utilised across the business while contributing to the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics.

About the role

• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports and reporting portals that deliver meaningful business insights
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective data and analytics solutions
• Collaborate with IT and Data & Analytics teams to ensure reporting solutions are accurate, secure, scalable and aligned with business needs
• Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, risks and performance insights that support informed decision making
• Design and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform and prepare data from multiple systems and data sources
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation and workflow optimisation using reporting, analytics and low code technologies
• Produce high quality management information and reporting for senior leadership teams and key stakeholders
• Support business projects, system implementations and technology initiatives by embedding reporting and data requirements from inception through to delivery
• Create clear and engaging data visualisations that communicate complex information to both technical and non technical audiences

About you

• Must hold either 'Entitled' / 'Registered' residential status for Jersey or hold a certificate or permit to work in Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK.
• Proven experience developing reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions, including advanced Power BI capability
• Excellent technical knowledge of data structures, SQL, reporting methodologies and data visualisation best practices
• Demonstrable experience identifying opportunities for automation, digital improvement and technology enabled business solutions
• Good understanding of data governance, data quality and information security principles
• Proven ability to engage, influence and build relationships with stakeholders across a professional services environment
• Experience within the trust and corporate services industry, together with a degree and/or relevant professional qualification
