Job summary

Foodbuy, the analytics arm of Compass Group UK & Ireland, seeks a Data & Insight Analyst in Chertsey. The role blends hands-on analytics with team leadership to shape decision-making through data-driven insights.

You will own insight delivery, mentor analysts, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate data into commercial outcomes, including developing BI models and ML solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data science, analytics or BI.
• Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Redshift or Databricks.
• Proven track record in building impactful data visualisations (Power BI).
• Strong statistical modelling, predictive analytics and ML.
• Experience leading or mentoring analysts.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

Data & Insight Analyst

Location: Chertsey (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)

We're now looking for a Data & Insight Analyst to join our growing Analytics team, playing a key role in shaping how data and insight drive decision-making across the business.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role combining advanced analytics with team leadership. You'll take ownership of key insight delivery, lead a small team of analysts, and partner with senior stakeholders to translate data into meaningful commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI models, dashboards and reporting solutions
• Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns and opportunities

What We're Looking For
