Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking a Data and Funding Manager (Maternity Cover) to oversee data quality and MIS/Registry duties for all funding streams. The role leads on data practice improvements to ensure compliant records for learners and the organisation.

The post requires Level 4 in the relevant area or equivalent experience, plus Level 2 literacy/numeracy. ILR and funding rules knowledge, plus audit experience, are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in FE funding/ILR or equivalent experience.
• Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification.
• Significant experience with Further Education funding and ILR returns.
• Experience with auditing DfE funding/data.

Data and Funding Manager (Maternity Cover)

£49,440 gross per annum

PackageTemporary until 30 November 2027 or the return of the postholder whichever is sooner

The Role

The Data and Funding Manager is responsible for ensuring a high standard of data quality is developed and maintained across college and for managing the MIS/data and Registry functions for all funding streams. You will lead on promotion and support for data practice solutions so that systems and processes meet the needs of the organisation and its learners, enabling government compliant quality record management across the organisation.

What we are looking for

You must have a Level 4 Qualification in the specific area or relevant experience as well as a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy. You will need to have significant experience of Further Education funding and rules, and the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) and have experience of cleaning and submitting ILR returns. Experience of audit, both internal and external for DfE funding / data is also essential along with a full understanding of Apprenticeship funding rules.
