The Opportunity

Our client, based in the sustainability sector, is seeking a Data Analytics Manager for a permanent position at their Devon offices.

The company is undergoing a transition as they develop a new Azure data lake. This role will be responsible for evolving their data infrastructure and analytics, building next-generation self-service data tools for customers.

You should be comfortable maintaining legacy systems (Excel, VBA, PowerPoint) while managing the transition to Azure.

You will manage a small team of skilled analysts, ensuring operational outputs and providing coaching and mentorship to develop the team.

We seek a critical thinker experienced in building and developing analytical data structures to extract insights from evolving data sources.

Skills and Experience

• Management experience with a small team of Data Analysts
• At least 5 years in a Senior Data Analyst/Data Scientist role
• Experience with data modeling (dimensional modeling), warehousing, processing (MapReduce), and transformation techniques
• Expertise in SQL and at least one analytical programming language (Python preferred, R or Julia)
• Knowledge of IAC principles and best coding practices (GIT, SVN)
• Ability to optimize workflows and analysis for MapReduce processing
• Experience with BI software such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense
