Description

We use innovation to shape data, so it works for everyone. We are planning to re-platform and improve existing (commercial, operational, and customer) data assets, develop new ones, and transform how we work with the business to utilize our data better.

As part of a centralized data team, you will collaborate closely with Data Engineers in a multidisciplinary environment. Your role will involve understanding complex data flows and both business and technical requirements to develop ETL/ELT reconciliation scenarios, ensuring all features are fully tested.

Focusing primarily on quality, you will support sourcing, compiling, and developing reliable, consistent data reporting solutions to enable strategic, insight-driven decisions. You will also explore opportunities to streamline or enhance existing SQL/ETL test automation processes.

You will ensure that quality engineering principles are integrated from early design stages through to production. Responsibilities include reviewing acceptance criteria, executing tests, collaborating with business users for sign-off, and maintaining SQL-based regression packs.

Qualifications

We seek an experienced Data Warehouse Quality Engineer capable of supporting multiple analytics projects. Essential skills include:

• Expertise in testing Oracle, Snowflake, and Postgres data warehouses.
• Experience delivering fully reconciled Facts and Dimensions, with accurate end-user reports.
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse design, star schema, and dimensional modeling.
• Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude.
• Ability to contribute to system architecture and design decisions.
• Good interpersonal skills across various technical levels.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple testing activities.
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
• Ownership of testing disciplines and deliverables.
• Self-motivated with enthusiasm.

Minimum Criteria

• Experience with ETL/MI data testing.
• Advanced SQL skills for data reconciliation and business rule validation.
• Proficiency with SQL Developer, PostgreSQL/DBeaver, and Snowflake.
• Experience with ETL tools like ODI.
• Proficiency with reporting tools such as Power BI and OAS.
• Understanding of data replication tools like Oracle GoldenGate and AWS DMS.
• Knowledge of AWS services like SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions, S3 is advantageous.
• Technical understanding of complex Data Warehousing terminology.
• Desirable: Python scripting knowledge and CI/CD experience.
• Experience in automation of Data Warehouse testing projects.
