Job summary

EDF HPC is seeking a Data Analyst for the Joint Design Office at Hinkley Point C. You will manage multi-source data, develop governed pipelines, and deliver insights that improve engineering, manufacture, and construction processes onsite.

The JDO team focuses on accurate data management, analytics, and leadership reporting, operating within IMS and JDO data governance standards to enable data‑driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
• Ability to use SQL and Python for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools (Power BI preferred).
• Understanding of data governance and data quality management.
• Strong analytical skills and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise governed data pipelines on the Databricks platform to support engineering reporting, analytics, and decision‑making.
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple source systems using SQL and Python, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose.
• Design and maintain curated datasets and reporting layers that provide a trusted, single source of truth for engineering and business stakeholders.
• Apply data governance principles to ensure data quality, consistency, traceability, lineage, and compliance with JDO and organisational information management standards.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and self‑service reporting solutions (e.g. Power BI) to monitor delivery performance and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Support the preparation of reports and presentations for Senior Leadership Teams, providing clear analysis, visualisations, and key insights.
• Document data pipelines, datasets, business rules, data models, and reporting methodologies to ensure transparency, knowledge sharing, and auditability.
• Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve data processes and reporting solutions to increase automation, efficiency, and reliability.
• Identify opportunities to standardise and modernise data management practices through the adoption of scalable tools, technologies, and best practices.
