Job description

Job Description

London Based Investment Bank seeks a Data Analyst with experience in the financial regulatory environment and data management requirements. The role involves regulation of data and processes, with knowledge of object storage solutions, archiving, and similar technologies. Responsibilities include producing and maintaining documentation, interacting with business stakeholders and technical staff, and providing end-user software support.

Required skills include strong verbal and written communication, understanding of networks, scripting languages (Unix/Linux/Python), and experience in architecting and deploying long-term data retention solutions (offline, near-line, online). Knowledge of data lifecycle principles, Agile and SCRUM frameworks, and data control in regulated environments is essential.

The Data Analyst will manage data retention and control, set data retention policies in backups, archives, and online stores based on data owner input, and support data collection and delivery for investigations supporting Compliance and Legal departments. The role also involves managing data archiving, search, and interface consistency of archives and backups, as well as supporting the backup storage infrastructure.

This position offers hybrid working (2 days a week in London offices). Salary is up to £80,000 plus bonus and benefits.
