Job summary

Stott and May is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support end-to-end data workstreams on a major programme. You will analyse data, build cohorts, and produce insights to guide strategic decisions.

You will collaborate with NatWest stakeholders, ensure QA across outputs, and maintain governance and documentation throughout the lifecycle. Hybrid work with on-site presence in London/Edinburgh is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering end-to-end data analytics for large programmes.
  • Strong SQL development skills and data governance understanding.
  • Ability to translate business needs into analytical deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis to support end-to-end programme workstreams and agreed business objectives.
  • Create customer and policy data cohorts using internal tools and in line with programme requirements.
  • Produce analytical insights from large datasets to support strategic decision-making across the programme.
  • Report progress, risks, opportunities, and delivery updates to the NatWest Team Manager and Programme Project Manager.
  • Carry out QA of analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Maintain documentation, version control and governance throughout the analysis lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to understand data dependencies and usage.
  • Support continuous improvement of analytics processes and reporting practices.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with data-driven insights.
  • Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of data governance across analytics teams.

Job description

Location: London / Edinburgh (Hybrid – 2 Days On-site)

Contract: 6 Months

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a major programme, supporting end-to-end workstreams through high-quality data analysis, reporting, and insight generation. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale programme, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver meaningful analytical outputs that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis to support end-to-end programme workstreams and agreed business objectives.
  • Create customer and policy data cohorts using internal tools and in line with programme requirements.
  • Produce analytical insights from large datasets to support strategic decision-making across the programme.
  • Report progress, risks, opportunities, and delivery updates to the NatWest Team Manager and Programme Project Manager.
  • Carry out quality assurance (QA) of analysis completed by other team members to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Work closely with programme stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Maintain high standards of documentation, version control, and project governance throughout the analysis lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with wider analytics teams to ensure data dependencies and usage are fully understood.
  • Support continuous improvement of analytical processes and reporting practices.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver data-driven insights.
  • Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of data usage, governance, and dependencies across analytics teams.
  • Excellent SQL development skills, with experience using Snowflake, AWS, and GitLab.
  • Experience creating dashboards and visualisations using tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Experience performing quality assurance (QA) of analytical outputs.
  • Knowledge of project documentation, version control, and governance processes.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced programme environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
