Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design and evolution of an operational data platform. You will architect Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions, enable real-time data ingestion, and develop AI-enabled capabilities in collaboration with engineering teams and business stakeholders.

You will define data structures, interfaces and governance, ensuring secure, scalable data flows across the enterprise while applying API-led integration and cloud-native practices.

Qualifications

• Experience designing Snowflake data warehouse solutions and Snowflake ecosystem.
• Strong background in real-time data ingestion and streaming technologies.
• Proven ability to design APIs and data interfaces for GenAI use cases.
• Knowledge of data modelling, schema design and data governance.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-enabled data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions and dependent systems.
• Develop platform capabilities including real-time ingestion, AI-driven insights and API-led integration.
• Design data structures and interfaces enabling natural-language querying and GenAI use cases.
• Define governance standards and secure data flows across systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, data teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable data platforms.
