Data Admin Specialist / Data Analyst required for a permanent position in Chesterfield, offering a salary of £24,500 - £29,000.

Company Overview

Working for a leading manufacturing business in Chesterfield, you will be part of a specialist data management team. The main purpose of the role is to support the operational business with the analysis and management of master data sets.

  • The role is permanent, based in a small and friendly team.
  • Hybrid working is available after an initial training/induction period (2 weeks full-time in the office, then 2-3 days working from home).
  • Salary: £24,500 - £29,000, dependent on experience.
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Your New Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business within an established, friendly team led by a supportive manager. The primary responsibility is to oversee the creation, maintenance, and management of master data used across the business for operational decision-making and governance.

Daily duties include managing large datasets, Excel-based reporting, and analyzing data quality and performance. The role suits candidates with excellent data administration and analysis skills, along with previous experience in master data management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading master data management analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Extensive data entry and administration, implementing data controls to ensure quality.
  • Supporting projects to enhance data performance and utilization within operations.
  • Using Excel at an intermediate level, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS, Oracle Agile, or SAP is desirable but not essential.
  • Supporting product data configurations, including item creation, costing, and pricing.
  • Assigning manufacturing routings and maintaining pricing listings.
  • Collaborating with Customer Service, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure data governance and generate reports.

Requirements

  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Ability to handle large datasets and repetitive data processing tasks.
  • Experience in data management within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL is advantageous.
