Job Opportunity: Dance Cover Supervisor (Secondary Schools) - Northampton

We are currently seeking a Dance Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in performing arts, education, or youth work who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive impact in a school setting.

Role Details:

• Position: Dance Cover Supervisor

• Location: Northampton

• Start Date: September

• Pay: £95-£115 per day (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular dance teacher

• Deliver pre-set dance lesson plans and activities

• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

• Encourage creativity, participation, and enthusiasm in dance

• Provide support and guidance to students during practical activities

• Liaise with school staff to ensure smooth running of the day

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in dance, performing arts, or PE-related subjects

• Previous experience working with young people (e.g., teaching, coaching, youth work)

• Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills

• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach

• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

• Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential
