MMP Consultancy Limited is seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor to join a housing maintenance team on an interim basis. The role focuses on damp, mould and housing condition inspections to improve residents’ living conditions.

You will carry out property inspections, diagnose defects, and produce detailed reports and remedial recommendations. A 7.5-hour day and immediate start are available for the right candidate.

• Previous experience as Damp & Mould Surveyor, Building Surveyor, or Property Surveyor.

Temporary Contract | 3-6 Months (Potential Extension) | £40.00 per Hour

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor to join a housing maintenance team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with a strong background in damp, mould, and housing condition inspections to make a real impact on residents' living conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct property inspections relating to damp, mould, condensation, and disrepair issues.
• Diagnose building defects and identify underlying causes of housing-related hazards.
• Produce detailed survey reports, specifications, and remedial recommendations.
• Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective resolutions.
• Monitor remedial works and ensure repairs are completed to the required standard.
• Support compliance with housing legislation and healthy homes initiatives.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Damp & Mould Surveyor, Building Surveyor, or Property Surveyor position.
• Strong knowledge of housing maintenance, building pathology, and damp and mould investigations.
• Experience within social housing, local authority, or property maintenance environments.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Contract Details

• Temporary contract for 3-6 months, with the potential for extension.
• £40.00 per hour
• 7.5-hour working day
• Immediate start available
