Job summary
WSP Global Inc. is seeking a dam and mining hydraulics specialist to join a diverse team of engineers, scientists and modellers.
You will contribute from conceptual design through detailed design on tailings facilities, flood modelling and risk assessments, collaborating across geotechnical, hydrology and water management teams. Travel within the UK and internationally to support clients, mentor graduates, prepare technical reports and assist in business development.
Qualifications
- Experience in dam breach analysis or tailings breach modelling.
- Ability to interpret material rheology data for numerical models.
- Experience in risk assessments and consequence classification.
- Strong technical writing and client communication.
Responsibilities
- Work with engineers, scientists and modellers from design to detail design.
- Provide input on tailings, heap leach and related civil projects worldwide.
- Assist project managers with time, budget and quality control.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
- Travel within the UK and internationally to support clients.
- Mentor and coach graduate team members.
- Support business development and technical proposals.
- Adhere to WSP Code of Conduct and health and safety policies.
