Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Family Support Worker for the DAAT Team on a 3-month contract. The role is based at One Angel Square and centers on collaborating with Social Workers to support families, focusing on parenting skills, finances, and addressing domestic abuse.

The successful candidate will deliver targeted interventions, engage in multi-agency work, and maintain thorough records. 37 hours per week, pay bi-weekly, rate £18.00 per hour (Umbrella).

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people, and families.
• Experience providing parenting support and family-based interventions.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and working with vulnerable families.
• Experience supporting families affected by domestic abuse.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to manage competing demands and prioritise workload effectively.
• Experience attending professional meetings and working alongside Social Workers.
• Good IT and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Social Workers in implementing interventions for children and families.
• Conduct direct work with parents and carers to enhance parenting and family dynamics.
• Offer budgeting and financial management guidance.
• Implement interventions addressing domestic abuse and promoting healthy relationships.
• Support team duty functions as needed.
• Facilitate and supervise family time sessions when necessary.
• Participate in child-focused meetings, reviews, and multi-agency discussions.
• Collaborate with partner agencies and professionals.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Contribute to assessments, support plans, and intervention strategies.
• Foster positive outcomes for children and families through strengths-based practices.
• Identify and appropriately escalate safeguarding concerns.
