Job summary

A leading company is seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Architect to spearhead the end-to-end infrastructure workstream of a complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 deployment. The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week in Gloucestershire/Somerset/Worcestershire, and demands extensive experience with large-scale D365 programmes, from discovery to transition. Suitable candidates should possess strong technical knowledge in hybrid cloud, security, and integrations, coupled with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

We’re supporting a major business transformation and are looking for a seasoned Infrastructure Architect to lead the end-to-end infrastructure workstream of a complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) deployment across multiple business units.

This is not just a design role, we need someone who can take ownership across the full architectural lifecycle, from discovery through to cutover and transition.

? Key Responsibilities:

• Own the infrastructure architecture lifecycle: discovery, requirements, HLD/LLD, build oversight, test, and transition
• Produce high-quality architecture documentation across environments, networks, security, identity, and DR
• Engage with business units, internal IT, and external vendors to define and validate infrastructure needs
• Support governance, planning, and design assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Guide infrastructure teams during implementation to ensure delivery aligns to the intended design
• Contribute to testing and go-live readiness; support knowledge transfer to operational teams
• Extensive experience as an Infrastructure Architect on large-scale D365 programmes
• Strong track record delivering architecture in multi-entity, complex environments
• Broad technical knowledge: hybrid cloud, identity (Azure AD), security, integrations, performance, scalability
• Comfortable working across multiple business units and delivery partners
• Excellent communication and documentation skills; confident in planning and governance conversations
