East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust seeks a HCPC registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Cytology to join the Cellular Pathology laboratory at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford. A BSc in biomedical sciences and an IBMS specialist portfolio in histopathology and non-gynae cytology are required.

The role is full-time and based at WHH, with strong training ethos and opportunities across the Kent and Medway Pathology Network (KMPN).

Formación

• HCPC registration is required for the role.
• IBMS Specialist Portfolio in histopathology and non-gynae cytology completed or in progress.
• Candidates may be considered as trainee Biomedical Scientists at least 50% through portfolio.

Responsabilidades

• Follow SOPs and implement best-practice changes.
• Manage records, assets, and competency documentation.
• Attend ROSE clinics at other sites as needed.
• Support quality, training, and health & safety leads.
