Job Opportunity: Band 5 Clinic Nurse at Manchester Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Clinic Nurse to join the Manchester Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre's multidisciplinary team.

The Centre cares for over 480 patients, with numbers increasing annually, serving the Northwest region. The Outpatient Department is uniquely positioned as a Regional Treatment Centre, providing individualized, holistic, patient-centered care. The department includes two day case rooms on Pearce Ward.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage outpatient clinic setup, including safety checks
  • Work within the CF nursing team to ensure smooth clinic operations adhering to microbiological policies
  • Conduct Nurse-led Annual Assessments and baseline observations
  • Perform nursing interventions such as venepuncture, cannulation, portacath access, ECG, ear lobe gases, gastrostomy tube changes, and vaccinations
  • Assist the Diabetes team with glucose monitoring and referrals
  • Maintain high standards of clinical work and professionalism
  • Support emotional and psychological needs of patients
  • Communicate effectively with MDT, patients, and carers
  • Support student placements and educational development

The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times. Additional duties may include covering urgent access beds on Pearce Ward.
