Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Cheshire is recruiting a Band 6 Children and Young People’s Mental Health Practitioner on a 12-month secondment, 30 hours per week with flexible working. You will undertake mental health assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions, manage clinical risk and work with families and partner agencies.

The role requires registration with HCPC/NMC/SWE, experience with CYPMHS, and knowledge of CBT/DBT/EMDR or systemic therapy.

Qualifications

• Professional registration with recognised National Body (HCPC, NMC, Social Work England).
• Post-qualification experience in CYPMHS or Child Mental Health.
• Experience delivering evidence-based interventions and managing clinical risk.
• Knowledge of CBT, DBT, EMDR or systemic therapy.

Responsibilities

• Undertake mental health assessments and provide interventions & formulations.
• Manage clinical risk and work with children, young people and families.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to support positive outcomes.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and travel to venues as needed.
