Job summary

Barnardo's Cornwall is recruiting for the Safer Futures programme to support children and young people affected by domestic abuse. The role focuses on recovery, resilience and long-term goals, with compassionate, non-judgemental practice and strong safeguarding awareness.

You will deliver 1-1 support, run group programmes, and collaborate with partner agencies to widen access to learning, safety planning and progression routes while ensuring accurate recording and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, non-judgemental and experienced in risk management and safety planning.
• Skilled communicator able to develop partnership relationships in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Team player with the ability to work alone when required and in a strong team ethos.
• Able to engage with children, young people and adults affected by domestic abuse.
• Experience of empowering individuals to make positive changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 support to Children and young people affected by domestic abuse.
• Facilitate Children's & Young Persons Programmes.
• Enable children to access further learning and development opportunities from partner agencies.
• Work with partner agencies to publicise the work of the project and encourage referrals.
• Assist with the project evaluation process.
