Job summary

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting to support Children and Young People with learning disabilities and/or autism presenting with complex mental and/or physical health needs. The post involves managing own caseload under supervision, conducting structured assessments, and contributing to intervention planning with a range of professionals.

The role requires collaboration with families and other agencies, and the ability to work under supervision to develop and monitor

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• To be allocated and manage own case load effectively under the supervision of qualified staff.
• To complete therapeutic assessments of Children and Young People using structured observation and assessment tools under the supervision and guidance of the registered professional.
• To assist qualified members of the team in the development of interventions which are based on assessment outcome and the principles of the relevant professional groups.
• Provide both direct and indirect intensive intervention, advice and support. To monitor and review interventions providing timely and concise feedback to qualified members of the team.
• Work alone with clients/Parents/Carers/Families/other agencies as required following appropriate preparation and liaison with qualified members of the relevant team.
