Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Class 2 ADR Cylinder Driver for a temporary assignment in Bury Saint Edmunds. You will deliver gas cylinders safely and interact professionally with customers.

The role runs Monday to Friday around 7am–5pm, with occasional Saturdays during peak periods. 42.5 hours guaranteed weekly, overtime paid at £27.44 per hour. 28 days leave and a bonus up to £1000 twice yearly.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat C driving licence, Digi card and DCPC.
• ADR licence in class 2 (packages).
• DBS check required.
• Some Saturdays may be required during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Safe cylinder delivery and handling of gas cylinders.
• Adherence to ADR regulations and tachographs.
• Provide professional customer interaction and service.
• Multi-drop deliveries and manual handling where needed.

Role Overview

Cylinder Driver - Class 2 ADR Driver - Bury Saint E is a temporary role based in Bury St Edmunds, paying £18.29 per hour, rising to £27.44 for overtime and weekend work. A performance bonus of up to £1000 is available twice yearly. You will work Monday to Friday, roughly 7am to 5pm, with occasional Saturdays during peak periods. Guaranteed 42.5 hours weekly, the position includes 28 days of annual leave, increasing with service.

Requirements

Details

New / inexperienced drivers who hold the relevant licences will be considered The role is due to start immediately and will run until the end of April 2027 when it will be reviewed

Insurance Requirements

For insurance purposes, you must have relevant HGV experience, should have no more than 6 points on your licence, and no DD or DR convictions in the last year.

Applicants should hold a valid Class 2 licence and ADR certificate.
