• Work within delegated authority levels, set and agree on the underwriting strategy and appetite with the Head of Marine & Specialty, and handle referrals and technical issues internally and externally.
• Provide direction and technical input to maintain a market-leading proposition for Cyber.
• Develop appropriate technical skills in teams and individuals to meet the changing needs of Munich Re Specialty Global Markets UK’s trading decisions.
• Build and maintain strong internal relationships with Senior Management, Operations, Commercial and Technical functions, centralised resources, the Syndicate, other MRSG IDCs, and other MR Group companies.
• Develop underwriting responses and solutions to social, economic, and market developments.
• Provide reports and other Management Information to the Head of Marine & Specialty or MRSI (UK) Exco as required.
• Help drive good conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers and policyholders.

Knowledge and Skills

• Extensive knowledge of the Line of Business.
• Extensive underwriting and account management experience.
• Effective communication and implementation of strategy internally and externally.
• Ability to handle extensive and diverse referrals from internal and external sources.
• Stay updated with market changes and competitor products and services.
