Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking a skilled Underwriter to help build a profitable and balanced portfolio of cyber and technology risks in the London market. The role emphasizes broker relationships, accurate data handling and cross-functional collaboration.

The candidate will advance knowledge through training, examinations and engagement with Cyber, Technology and Risk teams while contributing to a high-performing underwriting Unit. Competitive benefits accompany the salary.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree preferred; knowledge of insurance underwriting is a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Excellent technology literacy and MS Office skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain working relationships with brokers, clients, vendors, reinsurers and other stakeholders to develop business.
• Underwrite classes of business per Underwriting Authority and Guidelines to meet targets.
• Work within Underwriting, Pricing and Authority Guidelines at all times.
• Market the Unit’s products and services through approved broker network.
• Develop and maintain agency/broker relationships and monitor data accuracy in Daybook.
• Collaborate with Cyber Product, Pricing, Training and Breach teams to support initiatives.
• Attend client presentations and gather information for underwriting purposes.
