Job summary

AXIS Capital in London invites an experienced Underwriter to join our Cyber & Technology division. You will establish relationships with brokers, assess risks, and underwrite classes of business within the Authority Guidelines to achieve plan targets.

You will collaborate with product, pricing, training and breach response teams, monitor risk data, and ensure compliance with Axis and Lloyd’s standards. A graduate degree and strong analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree Level Qualifications preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Excellent technology literacy, including Excel and other MS Office systems.
• Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Presentation skills.
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi task and manage conflicting priorities.
• Ability to communicate and build a rapport with a wide range of people.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain broker and client relationships to develop business.
• Underwrite classes of business per guidelines and authority.
• Support marketing through broker networks.
• Develop and maintain agency/broker relationships.
• Monitor data in systems like Desktop, Daybook, Tableau, and PPL.
• Ensure compliance with Axis and Lloyd’s Minimum Standards.
• Coordinate with Cyber Product, Pricing, Training and Breach Response teams.
• Attend client presentations for underwriting purposes.
• Liaise with other departments on risk entries and premium queries.
• Pursue training and professional exams to advance knowledge.
