Job summary

Ultra Intelligence & Communications is seeking a senior software engineering leader for the Cyber UK Business Unit. You will guide an embedded and application software team, define best practices, and ensure alignment with hardware and firmware groups across multiple development programs.

The role requires deep experience in C/C++, Rust, and secure software practices, with DV/UK clearance as applicable. The team works on multi-disciplinary projects ranging from tens of thousands to millions of

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of at least one of C/C++, Rust, embedded product development.
Expert knowledge of software engineering practices and trends.
Track record delivering complex software to schedule.
Experience with version control, change control and bug tracking tools.
Experience with CI and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

Provide technical direction across multiple projects to optimize architecture and tool chains.
Develop software requirements, architectures and designs that satisfy system and security requirements.
Collaborate with software leads to align with company standards and processes.
Create development plans with project leads to deliver value early to customers.
Mentor engineers and review significant technical documents and designs.
Ensure design consistency and re-use across projects with system architects.
