Help us create a better future, quicker

ScottishPower is investing in a major Cyber Security Transformation Programme and we're looking for a Cyber Security Vulnerability Lead to play a key role in strengthening and evolving our cyber security capabilities.

What you’ll be doing

This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a complex and critical security environment, supporting both IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems across the business. You'll work closely with the Global Cyber Fusion Centre and teams across ScottishPower to drive vulnerability management, security testing, and cyber resilience initiatives.

In this role, you'll lead the coordination of vulnerability identification services, including penetration testing and Red Team activities. You'll help shape the future of cyber security across the organisation by defining strategic security initiatives, influencing long-term roadmaps, and ensuring security services deliver maximum value from existing investments.

Collaboration will be central to your success. You'll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, security teams, service providers, and business leaders to deliver an integrated IT and OT security strategy. You'll also provide expert guidance on the tools, processes, and operating models that support the Cyber Fusion Centre's continued evolution in the UK.

What you’ll bring

We're looking for an experienced cyber security professional with a strong background in security operations within a large, complex organisation. You'll be comfortable leading security improvement programmes, managing critical vulnerabilities, and working with a range of security tools and services. Experience working with OT security environments is beneficial, alongside an understanding of the regulatory and security challenges facing critical infrastructure organisations.

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GICSP or OSCP would be advantageous and will help demonstrate your expertise across both IT and OT security disciplines.

Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain NSV SC Clearance. Applicants must have lived continuously in the UK for at least five years to meet the minimum residency requirements.

If you're looking for a role where you can influence cyber security strategy, lead meaningful change, and help protect critical national infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
