What You’ll Do as a Cyber Security Operations Analyst

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

• Build and maintain expert knowledge of our security technologies, improving processes and systems, and proactively seeking continuous improvement.
• Execute the approval process for security-related tickets in Primark’s service desk system.
• Contribute to the Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities, ensuring effective detection, threat, and incident response.
• Participate in triaging events from various sources, including employee reports, security systems, and threat intelligence data.
• Analyze and respond to detected events, escalating issues as needed.
• Review events, incidents, and industry publications; recommend improvements.
• Support team reporting with metrics and data analysis.
• Enforce standardised processes, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Contribute to cybersecurity planning, requirements, design, implementation, and tooling decisions through discussions, presentations, and documentation.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of enterprise cybersecurity experience, ideally with Cloud and On-premise technologies.
• Experience in Cyber Security Operations, Incident Response, and Investigations.
• Strong foundation in modern operating systems and networking protocols.
• Experience working in multi-skilled teams.
• Adherence to processes, roles, responsibilities, and high-quality delivery.
• An appropriate degree, qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Security certifications such as GIAC, CompTIA, Microsoft, CISM, CISA, CISSP, or CRISC are desirable.
