Job summary

Harvey Nash IT Recruitment UK is seeking a Cyber Security Manager in Liverpool. The role is hybrid (3 days onsite) and leads the cyber security function, delivering operational security, incident response, vulnerability management and cyber resilience initiatives.

You will report to the CIO and shape security while remaining hands-on in operations. You will manage a Cyber Security Analyst, own incident investigations, drive security tooling improvements, and collaborate with senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• Experience in a Cyber Security Manager or similar role.
• Proven leadership in cyber security activities.
• Strong incident response and vulnerability management background.
• Experience with Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Endpoint).
• Exposure to SIEM platforms and threat detection.
• Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST or Cyber Essentials.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the organisation's cyber security function.
• Mentor a Cyber Security Analyst.
• Own incident response and cyber security investigations.
• Drive vulnerability management and remediation activities.
• Oversee security operations, monitoring and threat detection.
• Manage and improve security tooling (Microsoft Defender, Endpoint Security, SIEM).
• Support cyber security strategy, governance and continuous improvement.
• Work with senior stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience across the organisation.
