Harvey Nash IT Recruitment UK is seeking a Cyber Security Manager in Liverpool. The role is hybrid (3 days onsite) and leads the cyber security function, delivering operational security, incident response, vulnerability management and cyber resilience initiatives.

You will report to the CIO and shape security while remaining hands-on in operations. You will manage a Cyber Security Analyst, own incident investigations, drive security tooling improvements, and collaborate with senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• Experience in a Cyber Security Manager or similar role.
• Proven leadership in cyber security activities.
• Strong incident response and vulnerability management background.
• Experience with Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Endpoint).
• Exposure to SIEM platforms and threat detection.
• Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST or Cyber Essentials.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Cyber Security Manager

Liverpool (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
GBP50,000 – GBP59,000 + Excellent Benefits

We're looking for a Cyber Security Manager to take ownership of cyber security across a complex organisation, leading the delivery of operational security, incident response, vulnerability management and cyber resilience initiatives.

This is a hands–on leadership role reporting directly to the CIO, offering the opportunity to shape the organisation's cyber security capability while remaining close to day–to–day security operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and developing the organisation's cyber security function
• Managing and mentoring a Cyber Security Analyst
• Owning incident response and cyber security investigations
• Driving vulnerability management and remediation activities
• Overseeing security operations, monitoring and threat detection
• Managing and improving security tooling, including Microsoft Defender, Endpoint Security, SIEM and wider security technologies
• Supporting cyber security strategy, governance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Working with senior stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience across the organisation

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a Cyber Security Manager, Cyber Security Lead, Security Operations Manager or similar role
• Proven experience leading cyber security activities within an organisation
• Strong background in incident response, security operations and vulnerability management
• Experience with Microsoft security technologies, including Defender and Endpoint Security
• Exposure to SIEM platforms and threat detection tools
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST or Cyber Essentials
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
