Job summary

Harvey Nash Group in Leeds (Hybrid) is seeking a Lead Security Architect to join a UK Financial Services organisation's cyber security architecture capability. You will act as security authority across strategic initiatives, spanning cloud, infrastructure, network and SaaS environments.

The role combines deep technical security expertise with stakeholder influence, ability to challenge designs, and drive secure-by-design across the solution lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in security architecture and engineering across cloud, network and infrastructure.
• Proven ability to assess designs and translate vulnerabilities into business risk.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior decision-makers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve security architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps.
• Lead security design reviews and architectural assurance activities.
• Provide security leadership across complex projects and programmes.
• Review designs, identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Embed secure-by-design principles throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Enterprise/Solution Architects and engineering teams.
• Evaluate security across cloud, infrastructure, networking, and SaaS.
• Communicate complex security concepts to technical and business audiences.
• Influence technical decisions balancing security, resilience and delivery.
• Champion a modern, threat-informed security posture.
