Job summary

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for a highly skilled Lead Cyber Security Specialist to shape the delivery of cyber security in line with legislation, standards and best practice. You will drive security improvements across programmes and advise IT projects on secure solutions.

You will monitor, detect, analyse and respond to incidents, maintain and protect key business assets, and help deliver the Council's cyber security strategy while supporting audits and reviews.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in designing and managing cyber security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and incident response.
• Ability to lead security projects and audits.

Responsibilities

• Shape the delivery of cyber security in line with legislation, standards and best practice across the organisation.
• Drive and deliver security initiatives to manage and improve overall cyber security capability.
• Provide expert advice on security architecture across projects and programmes to build collaborative relationships.
• Assist in the management of security audits and reviews and ensure compliant solutions.
