Job summary

Squarcle Consulting is expanding its Digital capabilities team and seeks a Cyber Security Specialist to design, implement, and maintain robust security controls across client projects. You will collaborate with architecture, engineering, and delivery teams to embed security through the full lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on Azure security experience, Defender tools expertise, risk assessment, and the ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security roles across enterprise or complex environments.
• Strong understanding of network security, identity management, and endpoint protection.
• Proven experience with Azure Security tools including Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.
• Experience in risk assessment, threat modelling, and vulnerability management.
• Ability to communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.
• Eligible for UK Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement security architectures for applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Conduct security design reviews and provide assurance across projects and programmes.
• Ensure alignment with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS.
• Identify, assess, and manage cyber security risks across systems and suppliers.
• Support risk assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability management.
• Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and data protection regulations.
• Hands-on Azure security implementation and Defender tools management.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide guidance and training to project teams and stakeholders.
