Sussex Police and Surrey Police are recruiting a Security and Information Assurance Advisor to support both Forces. This specialist role focuses on protecting the Forces’ technology, people, buildings and assets from cyber and information risks.

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Security or Cyber Security, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven knowledge or working experience of cyber security and information assurance concepts.
• Experience with security standards such as ISO27001.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Produce security and information risk assessments across all aspects of Force business.
• Audit and review security controls relating to information handling and assets.
• Oversee IT health checks, penetration tests and physical security tests.
• Review and monitor the security of the delivery chain.
• Investigate and evaluate security and information breaches.
• Prepare and deliver security and information assurance guidance and learning materials.
