Job summary

Surrey Police and Sussex Police are hiring a Security and Information Assurance Advisor to protect Force data and systems. You will assess security risks, influence information protection across business areas, and support policing operations at both Force and national levels.

The role covers governance, compliance, and risk management with opportunities to deliver security training and guidance. A strong candidate will have a cyber security background and formal qualifications.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cyber security and information assurance concepts.
• Familiarity with information security standards such as ISO27001.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Produce security and information risk assessments for Force业务 and operations, including privacy and architecture considerations.
• Audit and review security controls for information handling and assets.
• Oversee IT health checks, penetration tests and physical security tests to identify vulnerabilities.
• Review and monitor the delivery chain to ensure proper processing of Force information.
• Investigate and evaluate security and information breaches.
