Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to design and improve identity security in SailPoint ISC and NERM. You will work with BA teams worldwide to implement governance controls, and you will stay current with threat intelligence and industry best practices.

You will integrate platforms like Active Directory, Entra ID, and ServiceNow, using APIs and scripting to automate authentic identity workflows. Strong analytical and communicative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong technical security skills with ability to review identity security architectures and guidance.
• Experience with SailPoint ISC and NERM or related identity technologies.
• Knowledge of AD, Entra ID, ServiceNow integrations.
• APIs, JSON, identity transforms, workflow logic, and scripting (PowerShell or Python).
• Familiarity with NIST or similar security frameworks.
• Analytical thinker with clear communication and prioritisation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and support identity security capabilities within SailPoint ISC and NERM.
• Align ISC and NERM engineering with threat- and risk-led strategy.
• Maintain understanding of attacker techniques; ensure tools remain effective and proportional.
• Proactively assess and improve configurations, workflows, integrations, and controls.
• Keep up to date with identity governance and SailPoint product developments.
• Understand broader organisation priorities to meet needs.
