A career without limits As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain. It’s something we’ve been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world’s first international scheduled air service between London and Paris. This originality has been in our blood since day one. It’s the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues. So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make. We know great things can happen when you’re inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The role:

Cyber Security EngineerOur cyber security engineers build and develop the technical security solutions that keep our airline and our customers safe from cyber-attack. In this role, you will focus on engineering and improving SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) and Non-Employee Risk Management (NERM) capabilities, supporting identity governance and the secure lifecycle management of non-employees. Working with BA colleagues around the world, the BA Cyber Team and IAG Tech, you’ll create and maintain capabilities that meet our requirements and our threats. • Maintain a working understanding of modern attacker techniques and procedures, ensuring that existing and future tools and capabilities are effective and proportionate.
  • Proactively assess and improve SailPoint ISC and NERM configurations, workflows, integrations and controls to ensure effective and sustainable protection.
  • Keep up to date with identity governance, SailPoint product developments and industry trends so that relevant capabilities can be adopted as they mature.
  • Develop an understanding of the functions within the broader organisation and their respective priorities and needs. Use this understanding to ensure that needs are met.
What You’ll Bring To British Airways

  • Excellent communicator, able to make complex technical issues approachable for all stakeholders
  • Able to recognise priorities and guide others towards strategic business goals and objectives
