Job summary

Adria Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Cyber Security Engineer in Manchester for a role that combines hands-on security engineering with automation and integration work across cloud, identity, endpoint and application environments.

You will collaborate closely with security, cloud and engineering teams to strengthen cyber defences, while supporting new technology initiatives. The position offers up to £75,000 with predominantly home-based work and one day per week in our Manchester office.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in cyber security engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft security technologies.
• Understanding of Azure security, identity protection, privileged access and Conditional Access.
• AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, SC-100 or CISSP certification, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Configure, maintain and improve Microsoft security technologies and security platforms.

Cyber Security Engineer Manchester - 1 day per week Office Based.

Adria Solutions is recruiting a Cyber Security Engineer for an established organisation investing in its security capabilities.

This hands-on role will suit someone who enjoys solving technical problems, improving security platforms and using automation to strengthen cyber defences. You ll work closely with security, cloud and engineering teams, helping protect systems while supporting new technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and improve Microsoft security technologies, including Defender XDR, Sentinel, Purview, Defender for Cloud and Entra.
• Develop security monitoring, telemetry and integrations across cloud, identity, endpoint and application environments.
• Build and maintain automated security workflows, including SOAR playbooks and response processes.
• Investigate technical security issues and support incident response, threat hunting and remediation activities.
• Work with technology teams to embed effective security controls into cloud services and development processes.
• Maintain technical documentation and identify opportunities to improve security coverage, reliability and automation.

What we re looking for

• Practical experience in cyber security engineering, security platform engineering or a closely related technical role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies.
• An understanding of Azure security, identity protection, privileged access and Conditional Access.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a practical approach to resolving security issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters to different audiences.
• Good organisational skills, with confidence managing competing priorities.
• A relevant qualification, such as AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, SC-100 or CISSP, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with scripting, APIs, security automation, Security Copilot or AI-security controls would be advantageous.

The position offers a salary of up to £75,000 and predominantly home-based working, with approximately one day per week in the Manchester office.
