Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is currently recruiting for a Cyber Security Engineer to support our UK projects.
This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, with mobility and travel to customer sites and face-to-face meetings with colleagues as required.
Must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.
We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to manage the cybersecurity needs of our solutions as well as third-party solutions deployed by Wood. The engineer will be responsible for discovering vulnerabilities and risks in networks, software systems, and datacentres through ongoing vulnerability scans, monitoring network data, and ensuring hardware and software applications are updated. The role will primarily focus on workflow and deployment for solutions in the Digital Integration service line. The role will also provide similar services for the wider System Integration service line.
The role requires the ability to rapidly engage with clients and stakeholders across Wood to understand their problems and, through client presentations, demonstrate how our solutions can solve these problems and provide value, while maintaining strong cybersecurity. The candidate will work with lead cybersecurity engineers to collect and prioritize cybersecurity requirements from ongoing projects, proposals, prospects, and overall strategy, and will help define the required functionality of our products, along with execution/workflow methodology and standardization in delivery.
The candidate will also interface with R&D / product management, responsible for defining cybersecurity requirements, reviewing proposed enhancements (in terms of relevant standards and overall IT risks). The role will involve communicating and extracting these requirements from the client and liaising with the relevant internal teams.
