Job summary

QA offers an IT Security apprenticeship based at our Head Office in the North East, where you will join the Security Team, assist the IT support with tickets, and liaise with departments across Pacifica sites in person or virtually. This role requires good interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in IT and cyber security.

You will gain hands-on experience investigating security alerts, supporting new tools, and producing clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have ICT-related qualifications or equivalent
• Interest in cybersecurity and IT
• Good ICT foundations and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to learn and apply security procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist in investigating security alerts and incidents under supervision
• Follow procedures to analyse and remediate security issues
• Support rollout of new security tools and configurations
• Complete routine security audits and checks with proper documentation
• Test and evaluate new security technologies as part of continuous improvement
• Produce clear procedural documentation and reports
• Assist the support team in remediation of tickets and escalated issues
• Explain troubleshooting steps to employees face-to-face, over phone, or via remote access
• Diagnose and resolve system, network, hardware, and software issues
