Job summary

QA is seeking an IT Security Apprentice to join the busy Security Team at our North East Head Office. You will work with senior analysts, assist the IT support team with tickets, and liaise with departments across QA sites.

You will learn to investigate alerts, follow procedures to analyse and remediate issues, support new security tools, complete audits, and document procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, methodical approach are essential.

Qualifications

• A-Level in ICT or equivalent.
• IB Level 3 in ICT accepted.
• Level 3 IT apprenticeship considered.
• BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits).

Responsibilities

• Assist in investigating security alerts under senior guidance.
• Follow procedures to analyse and remediate security issues.
• Support rollout of new security tools and configurations.
• Complete routine security audits and document findings.
• Produce clear procedural documentation and reports.
• Troubleshoot tickets with the support team.
• Explain troubleshooting steps to employees.
• Diagnose and resolve system, network, hardware, and software issues.
