Job summary

Back To Work in South Yorkshire is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst Apprentice to join our growing software support team. You will gain hands-on experience protecting systems, networks, and data while working toward a recognised cyber security apprenticeship qualification.

You will learn from experienced IT and cyber security professionals, assisting with security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and basic audits, while developing practical skills for a career in cyber security and IT

Responsibilities

• Monitor IT systems and networks for security incidents and threats.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and basic security audits.
• Support the implementation of cybersecurity controls and best practices.
• Help investigate suspicious system activity and security alerts.
• Assist in managing user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Support deployment and maintenance of antivirus and security software.
• Learn to identify phishing, malware and social engineering risks.
• Assist with patch management and software updates.
• Help maintain security documentation and incident records.
• Provide first-line support to customers for cybersecurity and IT queries.
