Job summary

Thinventory is offering a Cybersecurity & IT Support Apprentice role designed to provide hands-on experience in safeguarding digital assets, responding to threats, and supporting day-to-day IT operations across the organisation.

You will gain exposure to cybersecurity practices and first-line IT support, developing troubleshooting, user administration, and compliance skills in a resilient, service-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Training aligned to Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist standard.
• Structured learning covering threat analysis, security architecture, risk management, incident response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems for suspicious activity and potential threats.
• Assist with vulnerability scanning, patching, and endpoint protection.
• Support incident response and investigation processes.
• Help maintain security documentation and compliance records.
• Respond to user queries and technical issues via helpdesk or ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Set up and maintain user accounts, devices, and access permissions.
• Escalate complex issues to 2nd/3rd line teams as appropriate.
• Contribute to asset tracking, software updates, and IT documentation.
