Cyber Security Analyst, Luton, Bedfordshire

Hybrid working available.

Crimson is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst for a leading client based in Luton. The role involves detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity events and incidents. Additional responsibilities include managing routine security tasks, supporting cybersecurity projects, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The position offers broad experience across all aspects of cybersecurity with various security tools.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

1. Experience as a Cyber Security Analyst.
2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
3. Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policies, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Exchange Server.
4. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage demands effectively.
5. Experience analyzing IT logs and event sources (preferred).
6. Monitoring and administering SIEM systems.
7. Malware analysis and digital forensics research.
8. Understanding intrusion attempts and false positives.
9. Investigation tracking and threat resolution.
10. Familiarity with data storage, backups, and restoration.
11. Knowledge of security tools including Anti-Malware, IPS, Web and Email Gateways, and next-generation firewalls/UTMs.
12. Expertise in computer forensics, cybersecurity laws, and intelligence sharing.
13. Strong understanding of cloud computing, network defense, identity management, and incident response.
14. Experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) environment.
