Cyber Security Analyst – Luton

Hybrid working available

Cyber Security Analyst required for a leading client based in Luton. The role involves detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity events and incidents. Additional duties include managing routine security tasks, supporting cybersecurity projects, and assisting with regulatory compliance. This position offers exposure to a broad range of security tools and practices across all cybersecurity domains.

Key skills and responsibilities

• Cyber Security Analyst experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policies, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Exchange Server
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage demands effectively
• Experience analyzing IT logs and event sources (preferred)
• Monitoring and administering SIEM systems
• Malware analysis and forensic research
• Understanding intrusion attempts and false positives
• Investigation tracking and threat resolution
• Knowledge of data storage, backup, and restoration methods
• Familiarity with security tools such as Anti-Malware, IPS, Web and Email Gateways, firewalls, and security analysis tools
• Expertise in computer forensics, cybersecurity laws, and intelligence sharing
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, network defense, identity management, and incident response
• Experience in a SOC environment with incident response background
